Henkel AG & Co. KG aA, headquartered in Düsseldorf, has again been Fortuna Düsseldorf’s shirt sponsor since 2018. For Henkel, it is important to also inspire employees to get involved in football and to use the sponsorship to identify with the company.

Identity and identification instead of mere "logo presence"!

The redesigned communication was to highlight two main strategic aspects of this partnership in an emotional and eye-catching way: On the one hand, the close connection of the company and the club with their common home Düsseldorf.
Secondly, the passionate identification of the Henkel staff with “their” football team.

Football can and should achieve more: it should unite people and promote cohesion among them.

The campaign

A player from the Fortuna Düsseldorf Bundesliga team and a Henkel employee each form a joint motif.
In this way, the two testimonials pay tribute to each other in a memorable, surprising way and support the unifying message of togetherness.

In the stadium magazine, print ads, banner formats and social media, the campaign points to the future of sports sponsorship as a high-impact expression of social commitment every match day.
And as a mirror of a diverse, equal and solidary society.
