Case Essity

What we do

Our Global Artwork Management team in Hamburg is responsible for the brands Jobst, Leukoplast, Actimove and Cutimed as well as other brands of BSN Medical and essity with several thousand packaging artworks worldwide.

We oversee the entire realisation process from briefing to delivery of printable data. In doing so, we also continuously analyse and develop the process chain and the workflow. This means: we think holistically and constantly check cross-project synergies and possible optimisation potentials.

Our production is permanently checked for quality and faultlessness by the head of the final artwork department.

In order to track the project status, we use various tools such as kanban boards, project management software, individually developed checklists and digital, automated time recording.

Initial situation

Due to a new regulation for medical devices in the EU (Medical Device Regulation, MDR), a large part of the packaging of BSN Medical and Essity had to be adapted to the new guidelines within a short period of time.

Our team put together a completely new task force at the Hamburg location within two months, analysed and further developed the workflow and developed efficient processes.

Within 12 months, 1000+ artworks of 32 brands were revised and successfully adapted to the legal requirements.
